My deepest condolences to the family, may you find comfort in prayer and the beautiful words of Isaiah 25:8 where God promises us that He will soon eliminate all death and suffering.

I have no words that will ease the pain you are feeling, but I can be a friend that will listen and a shoulder to cry on. I am here if you need me.

God looked upon his garden
And found an empty place.
He then looked down upon this earth
and saw your tired face.

He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain.
He knew you would never
Get well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb
So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered "Peace be thine."

It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn't go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.

You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide.
And though we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one
The chain will link again.

David was a inspiration to me, always encouraging me, making me laugh, and even cry, but always showed his loving caring side, he was a genuine friend for many years. We shared a special bond that I'll cherish for a life time, you'll forever hold a place in my heart. I'm so happy to know you're in heaven, and you're not suffering anymore. My prayers go out to your Mom, Dad, Sister, and Uncle too, as well as your close family and friends as they grieve your loss. Those who knew you, knew what a gentle soul you were, and how you loved life and you always did your best to make people smile. Today, I smile knowing how lucky I was to have met you and been a part of your life. I'll sure miss those yearly birthday wishes!! And Bukkakie.... on the CANCER.. UGH!!! Love you, David! - Always and forever your friend, Alicia

Gone way too soon. But Oh! what an impression he made on everyone who knew him! Dave knew how to be a friend, and his humor and thoughtfulness made him a great friend to be around. He will be sorely missed, but always remembered. My deepest sympathy to his family for this loss.

I have known Dave since first grade at McKinley. When I first moved back to Zanesville after my divorce, we became friends again after all those years after high school. He was such a good guy, always made me laugh. I have so many wonderful memories of Dave and I will never forget him. My prayers go out to all of your family and his loved ones.
