William "Bill" G Russell

William “Bill” Russell, 73 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on February 24, 2025, at his residence.

He was born on June 17, 1951, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late Gerald Russell and Catherine Sharock. Bill worked at McGraw Edison for several years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Zanesville. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, golfing, hunting and fishing. Above all, he enjoyed his time with his family and loved ones.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Rebecca (Rogers) Russell; 3 daughters, Catherine (Steven II) Miskovich, Amanda (Van Edwards) Russell, Sarah (Jerry Slevin) Brennan; grandchildren, Natasha Miskovich, David Gibbs, Conner Gibbs, Dominick Brennan; 1 great grandchild on the way; brother, Theodore Russell; niece and nephew, Erica and Chad; several cousins and friends; special dog, Moocher.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

No calling hours or services will be held at this time. Per Bill’s wishes, a dignified cremation will take place.
