William J. Tracy, 73 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 26, 2022 at his residence.
He was born May 21, 1948 in Zanesville, son of the late, Paul Tracy and Winiferd Fitch. He worked for Owens Corning for 43 years, where he retired. Bill was a member of Corner Stone Full Gospel Church, as well as a member of the American Legion Post 29, Veterans of Foreign Wars 1058, Fraternal Order Eagles 302, Moose Lodge 867. Bill was the commander of Son’s of the Legion, Commodore of Muskingum Valley Boating Association, and a 4-H Advisor and worked at Quarter Horse Congress for many years. In his free time, he volunteered for the senior citizens- meals on wheels. When Bill found time for himself, he enjoyed his beer, mowing, golfing, and spending time at the beach.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Carol Alexander; daughters, Kelly (Tim) Printz, Teresa (Bob) Brown; brother Paul Tracy; grandchildren, Billy, Savannah, Jade, Kenzie, Tommy; great-grandchildren, Riley, Brantley, and Daxton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife JoAnne Tracy; brother, Kim Allen Tracy; sister, Adelle Alexander.
Per his wishes, a dignified cremation will take place. No calling hours or services will be held at this time.
