William H. Lafferty

William H. Lafferty, 63, died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, February 8, 2025.

Bill was born in Zanesville, July 23, 196, to the late James and Rita Lafferty. He is a 1979 graduate of Zanesville High School and worked at AVI for the past 37 years. Bill loved fishing, hunting, traveling and spending time with family and friends. He was one of the most compassionate individuals you would ever meet, always ready to help others. His selfless nature and love touched everyone around him. Though he may be gone, his legacy of kindness will continue in our hearts.

He is survived by his brothers James (Barbara) Lafferty, Thomas Lafferty, David Lafferty, Richard (Mary) Lafferty and Patrick (Angela) Lafferty; several nephews, nieces, and great-nephews, great-nieces; stepchildren, Josh, Chuck, Given, Leigh Ann, Tim and Trent; and step grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his partner in life, Judy Van Horn who he loved to travel with.

 A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Putnam Presbyterian Church, 467 Woodlawn Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio. AVI has graciously offered to cater a meal following the celebration.
