Wendell Farris

Wendell Farris, 68 of Zanesville, passed away December 30, 2015 at Genesis Hospital.

He was born April 20, 1947 in Columbia, Kentucky, son of the late Everett and Rita Corbin Farris.  Wendell retired from teaching after thirty-seven years from Franklin Local Schools.  He was a member of Rolling Plains United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his son, Justin (Lisa) Farris, of Philo; brother, Jimmie (Patricia) Farris, of Kentucky and sister, Barbara Jean (Keith) Walker, of Kentucky and grandchildren, Austin Farris, Alexis Farris and Ashton Farris.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Becky Rath Farris and siblings, Ralph and Mildred.

Calling hours will be held 4-7 pm, Sunday, January 3, 2016 and 10-11 am, Monday, January 4, 2016 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held Monday, January 4, 2016 at 11:00 am. 

Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
