Wayne Lee Allmon, 70 of Zanesville, passed away December 6, 2019 at his residence.
He was born January 7, 1949 in Ponca, Nebraska, son of the late Leland H. Allmon and Edith M. Lee-Allmon. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He retired from United Technologies, working as a supervisor and was a member of the American Legion Post 29.
He is survived by his wife Vonda I. Gentile Allmon, whom he married December 31, 1996; children, Nathan (Andrea) Allmon, Brittany (Alex) Reid; step-children, Robin (Tony) Hardin, Stacy (Jeff) Walker; brothers, Lyle Allmon, Bruce (Nancy) Allmon; sister Oliva Cooper; several grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Calling hours will be held 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will take place at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park with full military honors conducted by the United States Army in conjunction with the VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and American Legion Post 29.
