Virginia Yvone (Taylor) Walker

Virginia Yvone Walker, 90, of Zanesville, passed away November 27, 2023,  at The Oaks of Bethesda.

She was born August 13, 1933, in  Adamsville, OH, daughter of the late Carlos Taylor and Jeanette Arnold.  She was a homemaker and worked for Bethesda Hospital in the business office.  She attended Stovertown St. John’s Lutheran Church and Central Trinity Methodist Church.

She is survived by her children Judy Scanlan, and Tim Scanlan; grandchild Tiffany Scanlan; great-grandchild Arlo Binckley; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, John Scanlan, and Joe Walker; siblings, William “Bill” Taylor, June Alexander, and Carl Taylor.

Calling hours will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Monday, December 4, 2023 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will take place at 1:00 PM with Jon Exman officiating.  Burial will follow at Stovertown St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her first husband, John Scanlan.
