Tina Mitchell Obituary

Tina L. Mitchell, 68, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on April 4, 2026.

She was born on October 15, 1957, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Robert Havens and Dorothy Corder. Tina worked several years at Brockway Glass, Cedar Ridge Nursing Home, Ritchey’s Food, and Essex Wire. She enjoyed shopping at Goodwill and Walmart with her sister, Tammy, collecting frog knick-knacks, and fishing. She loved her cats, but above all she loved her grandchildren.

Tina is survived by her 3 children: Dennis (Brooklyn Taylor) Pitts, Shauntea (Daren Baker) Butcher, Michael Havens; grandchildren, Jawanna Pitts, Char’day Pitts, Demarlo Pitts, Jordan Jones, Jayden Jones, Kawana Butcher, Cobra (Miley Harrop) Havens, Kyailee (Thomas McCallister)  Havens; special great granddaughter, Adrianna Hunter; several other great grandchildren; 5 siblings: Terry (Connie) Havens, Herbie (Heidi) Havens, Bobby (Tammy) Havens, Penny Havens, and Summer Havens; step children, Kela Collier and Chad Butcher; several nieces, nephews, cousins; special friend, Lee Mayle; ex-husband, Brett Means; family friend, Nicole England; many other family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Mitchell; 2 sisters: Tammy Havens and Eveie Havens; and daughter-in-law, Virginia Havens.

A dignified cremation has been entrusted to DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home.
