Thomas D Russell Jr.

Thomas D. Russell Jr., 81, passed away surrounded by family at his residence on March 7, 2021.

He was born September 12, 1939, son of the late Thomas D. Russell Sr. and Isabell Russell in Zanesville, Ohio. Thomas worked many years, retiring from United Tech and was a long time boxer, carrying 5 golden gloves throughout his professional fighting career.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Barker Russell; sons, Steve Russell, James Lanier, Michael Todd; daughters, Paula Russell, Tammy (Charles) Rodgers, Terrie (Paul) Longfellow, Tawnya (Roger) Bickford; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Special thanks to his caregiver, Natasha Johnson Grimes; daughter, Paula Russell; and granddaughter, Katrina Stevens, for everything they have done.   

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Matthew Russell and sister, Dawn Mayle.

Graveside Memorial services will take place 1:00 PM Wednesday March 17, 2021 at Memorial Park with Pastor Nathan McDonald officiating.
