Thelma M Rockwell

Thelma M. Rockwell, 89 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 9, 2022 at her residence.

She was born on August 4, 1932, in Brunswick, Georgia, daughter of the late Ben A. Guest and Clarice E. Allen Guest. Thelma worked at Essex Wire for over 20 years, where she retired. She was a member of the Eagles 302 for over 43 years and a member of The Anchor Church.

She is survived by her children, Karen Bay, Kelly Omen, William Rockwell, and Kristy (Robert) McDonald; sisters, Mary Guest, Rose Marie Smith; grandchildren, Mandy (Gary) Clark, Marcy (Josh) Caudill, David (Keri) Bay, Heather (Chris) Merry, Chelsea (Max Klink) Williams, Haylee Rockwell, Austin Omen, Kasey Rockwell, Katelynn Rockwell, Hannah Rockwell, Madison Rockwell; great-grandchildren, Devin Clark, Samantha (Kyle) Burke, Mason (Tommi) Clark, Shelley Clark, Tyler (Laken) Bay, Baylee (Lacey) Caudill, Jaxson Bay, Tenley Bay, Carter Merry, Drew Merry, Seth Williams, Boston Williams, Korben Klink, Sawyer Klink, Sophia Loeffler, Brayden Deeds, Kimberlyn Deeds, and Ka’mia Deeds; great-great-grandchildren, Cooper Clark, Ryleigh Clark, Stella Bay, and 1 due in July; and special friend, Martha Mitchell.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Walter Rockwell; sisters, Vivian Gore, Dorothy Smith; son-in-law, David E. Bay; and special fur baby, Blue.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday May 12 , 2022 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home from 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM. Services will be held on Friday May 13, 2022 at 11:00 AM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Burial will follow services at Irville Cemetery.
