Terry Lee Smythe

Terry Lee Smythe, 75 of Dresden, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2024, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.

He was born on March 5, 1949, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late Jesse Smythe and Violet (Tanier) Smythe. Terry was a graduate of Tri Valley High School in 1967. He was a veteran of the Army, serving as a medic, spec 4 in Korea. He enjoyed fast cars, racing, and always had a canine companion by his side throughout life.   

Terry is survived by his two brothers: William A. Smythe, Roy Dean Smythe; several nieces & nephews, Renee (Kyle) Thorn, Ken (Patsy) Smythe, Larry Smythe, Dana Smythe, Kim Smythe, Jesse Smythe, Terry Smythe, Sabrina Tatro, Hiedi Smythe; special friend, Rebecca Mauller; and special dog, Bruny.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse & Violet Smythe; brother, Alvin Smythe; sister, Sharon Kay Smythe; niece, April Smythe; and nephew, Larry Smythe.

Per Terry’s wishes, no calling hours or services will be held at this time. A dignified cremation will take place.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Genesis Morrison House of Zanesville.
