Terry Lee Higgins Sr.

Terry Lee Higgins Sr., 63 of Zanesville, passed away on February 8, 2025, peacefully surrounded by his loved ones, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.

He was born on November 26, 1961, in Zanesville, son of the late Roy D. Higgins and Bessie (Martindale) Higgins. Terry worked as an employee for Genesis Hospital in maintenance for many years. He enjoyed working on small engines restoring vehicles, and riding motorcycles with his son, Terry. He loved the outdoors, fishing, and he was an avid gun collector. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and loved ones.

He is survived by his 3 children: Terry (Tammy) Higgins II, Ruth Higgins, Mike Havens; 3 grandchildren: Austin Wayne, Braxton (Hailey Wakefield) Higgins, Kierstin Wayne; girlfriend, Susan “Susie” Ashley; sister, Karen (Keith) Bell; 4 brothers: Paul (Ann) Higgins, James “Bob” (Alice) Higgins, Bobby Goldsmith, Chris (Jodi) Goldsmith; sister-in-law, Kay Higgins; special friends, Bobby Lee, Bill (Pam) Rush; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Terry is preceded in death by his loving wife of 28 years, Bonita (Goldsmith) Higgins; granddaughter, Cheyenne Wayne; brother, Roy Higgins; sisters, Ruth Dailey, Linda (Raymond) Potts; special dog, Cooter.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday February 11, 2025, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. The family will be accepting visitors on Wednesday February 12, 2025, from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held at 12:00 PM with Pastor Chris Steele officiating. Burial will conclude services at Woodlawn Cemetery in Zanesville.
