Teresa L. Rau

Teresa L. Rau, 66 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on June 11, 2025, at her residence.

She was born on June 13, 1958, in Zanesville, daughter of the late Cecil Newton and Betty Newton. Teresa graduated from Maysville High School in 1976 and worked at Longaberger Basket Co. for several years. She enjoyed camping and watching crime dramas like Law & Order and Cold Case.  

Teresa is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Steve Rau; 4 daughters: Amber (David) Norman, Vesta Dalton, Katy Denny, Nikki (Davonta) Norman; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters: Sharon (Melvin) Miskovich, Barbara (Curt) Gutridge; sister-in-law, Lynn Newton; many nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Betty Newton; and brother, Kenneth Newton.

Calling hours will be held on Monday June 16, 2025, from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held at 12:00 PM with Jason Boggs officiating. Burial will conclude services at St. Paul’s Cemetery.
