Sylvia "Nora" Kinney

Sylvia "Nora" Kinney, 89, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2024, at the Genesis Morrison House.

She was born on October 23, 1935, in Dresden, Ohio, daughter of the late Harvey Lee Lester Adolph and Helen B. Adolph. Sylvia was a lifetime member of the VFW Lady Auxiliary and the American Legion Post 29 of Zanesville. She enjoyed her crossword puzzles and bird watching. She was very loving and giving, having never met a stranger.

Sylvia leaves behind her loving husband of 46 years, George Kinney; sons, Jeff (Liz Winters) Sims, Mark (Cindy) Kinney, David (Angie) Kinney; daughter, Janice (Kim) McMahen; brother, Delbert (Linda) Adolph; grandchildren, Chuck (Jennifer) Norris, Josh Norris, Shala Zuccala, Shante (Marcus) Foster; great grandchildren, Slade Norris, Marlee Norris, Brynton Norris, Jessica McMahen, Blakely Zuccala, Olivia Zuccala, Payton Foster, Hayden Foster, Paisley Foster; sister-in-laws, Barb Adolph, Marie Adolph; special neighbors, Leslie Tabler and Paul; loving companion and puppy dog, Rockey.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond Adolph, Abe Adolph; sisters, Margie Adolph, Marie Blaire; great-grandchildren, Alisha and Shandon Sims; nephews, John Adolph, Brian Adolph, Larry Adolph.

Graveside services will be held on Friday November 1, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Don Rowland officiating.
