Sylvia Marie Barker

Sylvia Marie Barker, 92 of Zanesville, passed away April 1, 2022 at her residence, surrounded by family.

She was born July 23, 1929 in Zanesville, daughter of the late, William “Bill” West and Sylvia L Alexander Chapman.  She was a Christian by faith, loved to dance and sing.  Her favorite genre of music was Blue Grass; her favorite artist was Elvis Presley.

She is survived by her sons, James (Linda) Barker, Keith (Sheri) Barker, Dan (Sharon) Barker; daughters, Judy (Ron) Pyle, Sheila Russell, Christie (Jerry) Williams; brother William Warren West of Florida; nineteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; special great-grandchild John J. Smith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard L. Barker; sons, Larry E. Barker and Charles Barker.

Calling hours will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Thursday, April 7, 2022 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will take place at 1:00 PM with Pastor Andrew Wilson officiating.  Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
