Steven "Shirk" Lee Shirkey

Steven Lee Shirkey, aka Shirk, 53 of Roseville, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on August 22, 2024, at Genesis Hospital in Somerset, Ohio.

He was born on August 21, 1971, son of Terry J. Shirkey Sr. and Helen Irene (Rutter) Shirkey. Steve was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, fish, and work on cars in his free time. Above all, he enjoyed spending his time with his family and loved ones.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Jennie Shirkey; daughters, Tasha (Chris Roush) Shirkey, Michelle (Fred Evans) Collins, Jordan (Jordan Bradford) Collins, Lindsey (Cody Ritzman) Shirkey, Jessica (Jordan) Grove, Tiffany Shirkey; sons, David Rutter, Craig Shirkey; sister, Dawn (Mike Tivner) Shirkey; 13 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins; special friends, Gary Murphy, Leonard Lunsford, Dwayne Prater, Scott Gilbert, Steven Spears; 3 dogs, Coco, Chevy, and Blazer.

In addition to his father, Terry Shirkey Sr., he is preceded in death by his daughter, Tara Shirkey; brother, Terry Shirkey Jr.; uncles, Ernest Shirkey and Henry Shirkey.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday August 28, 2024, from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM, where services will be held at 4:00 PM with William Roush officiating. Per Steve’s wishes, a dignified cremation will take place following services.
