Stephen "Steve" D Wisecarver Sr.

Stephen "Steve" D. Wisecarver, 75 of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 15, 2023, at Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville.

He was born on March 8, 1948, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late Clyde Wisecarver and Yvonne “Bonnie” Hoadley. Steve was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church. He worked as a general contractor, mostly handling drywall and painting. He loved all music, playing cards, traveling with his wife, and spending time with his family and loved ones. In his spare time, he loved to be on the boat fishing.

Stephen is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Vivian (Huegle) Wisecarver; 3 children: Nicole Wisecarver, Stephen (Tara) Wisecarver Jr, Eric (Jannie) Wisecarver; grandchildren, Alisha, Stevie III, Kole, Savannah, Joie, Isaac, Catlin, Bentley, Noah; great-grandchildren, Eli, Averi, Jensen, Stevie IV, and 1 on the way.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Rick Wisecarver; and grandson, Brian Saxton Jr.

Graveside services will be held on Monday November 20, 2023, at 1:00 PM at St. Paul Cemetery with Rev. Darren Tolbert officiating. DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
