Sonya Marie Gawhega

Sonya Marie Gawhega, 45 of Zanesville, passed away on February 13, 2023,

She was born on June 22, 1977, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Robert Gawhega, Christy (Barker) Williams and Jerry Williams. Sonya was a waitress and bartender for many years. In her spare time, she loved to be outside.

She is survived by her 3 boys, John Smith, Thomas Smith, Matthew Gawhega; sister, Robin Benavides; brother, Michael Gawhega; 2 stepbrothers, John Singer, David Haddox; 3 stepsisters, Helen Haddox, Violet Haddox, Terrie Singer; nephews, Jeffrey Carroll, Miguel Benavides; and several other cousins and friends.

In addition to her grandparents, she is preceded in death by her father, Robert Gawhega.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday February 23, 2023, from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Services will be held on Thursday February 23, 2023, at 12:00 PM. A dignified cremation will be held following services.
