Sandra Sue Vandermark

Sandra Sue Vandermark, 75 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 4, 2022, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio.

She was born on July 4, 1947, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Walter Pearl Bruce and Wilma Mae (Crozier) Bruce. She worked at Benco Pet Foods for over 40 years. She was an avid reader. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling with her special traveling buddies, Nevaeh Edwards, Briana Flood, and Kim Gill to Tennessee, Virginia Beach, Bristol, Amish Country, you name it. Sandi leaves behind a special message, “Angels among us.”

She is survived by her brother, Robert “Bob” Bruce; sister, Carol Edwards; nephews, Clint Gill, Mike (Brenda) Bruce, Steven Bruce; nieces, Kim Gill, Ashley (Chris) Reavley, Heather Edwards, Anna Puryer; great-nieces, Nevaeh Edwards, Briana Flood, Destiny Reavley, WillaMae Reavley, Allison Bruce, Tiffany(Jacob) Mayle, Brittanie (Dakota) Gibbons, Elizabeth Bruce, Manny Bradshaw; great-nephews, Draiman Gill, Brandon Bruce, Robbie “Toehead” Bruce, Zach Bruce, Kyle Flood, Seth (Marlene) Carroll; several great-great nieces and nephews; and special dog, Mimi.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Schneider; son-in-law, Fred Schneider Jr.; sister, Linda J. Gill; granddaughter, Shayla Alissa Schneider; special friends, Tom, Sam, and Nick Garrett; and nephew, Billy Joe Bruce.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday November 10, 2022, from 2:00-4:00 PM & 6:00-8:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Services will be held on Friday November 11, 2022, at 10:00 AM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Walker officiating. Burial will follow services at Dresden Cemetery.
