Sandra Louise Grotegeer

Sandra Louise Warfield Grotegeer, 74, born September 15th, 1946, passed away March 26th, 2021 at Genesis Healthcare after a long battle with lung cancer. Originally from Zanesville Ohio, Sandra moved to Miami Florida, where she worked for 13 years at South Miami Hospital as an executive assistant to the Vice President of nursing and then 16 years as Executive Assistant to the CEO of Vitas Innovative Hospice Care. After her retirement, in 2010, she spent some time in California with her brother before moving back to Zanesville, where she became a volunteer at Genesis Hospital. She enjoyed playing video poker, going to the dog tracks, watching football, and spending time with friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Warfield and Mary Jane Stubbs Warfield; sister, Becky Warfield Lawson; brother, Rick Warfield; and nephew, Jimmy Warfield.

She is survived by brothers, Chuck (Pam) Warfield of California, Jim (Carolyn) Warfield of Zanesville, Mike (Marie) Warfield of Kimbolton, Ohio; many nieces and nephews, Misty (John) Cox, Lisa (Mike) Bowman, Michael Warfield, Lakesha Warfield, Shawn Cravenor, Christa (Jim) Hess; and many Great Nieces and Nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday March 31, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home.
