Ruby L Maxwell

Ruby L. Maxwell, 80 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on April 2, 2023, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio.

She was born on October 15, 1942, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Charles H. Burkett and Lela M. Reynolds. She was a former member of the Cornerstone Church in Zanesville, Ohio. She retired from Genesis Hospital after 15 years of service.

She is survived by her daughter, Gail E. McConiha; sons, Charles Maxwell, Ed (Amy) Maxwell Jr., Joe (Sue) Maxwell; sisters, Wanda Carnes, Pearl Fesler; grandchildren, Heather Maxwell, Jennifer Maxwell, Jody Maxwell; great grandchildren, Destiny Jones, Ciera Maxwell, Tiera Maxwell, Trenton Pitts, Jadeson Smithson; great-great-grandchildren, Alaya, Alexianna Jones; special friends, Kay Eby, Bonnie Folk; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her life partner, Edwin B. Maxwell Sr.; brothers, Charles Burkett, Paul Burkett; sister, Carol Grandstaff; and special dog, Shadow.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday April 6, 2023, from 2:00 PM  -4:00 PM and 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Services will be held on Friday April 7, 2023, at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow services at Chandlersville Cemetery.
