Rose Marie Wright

Rose Marie Wright, 84 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday December 28, 2024, at Select Specialty Hospital in Newark, Ohio.

She was born in Zanesville, Ohio, on May 20, 1940, to the late Francis McCoid and Mary Bell (Cannon) McCoid. Rose devoted her time fostering countless children over 32 years and served at Zanesville City School systems in the cafeterias. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Surviving Rose is her loving husband of 64 years, Frank P. Wright Sr.; 4 children: Mary (Thomas) Kihm, Anna (David) Stiles, Frank P. Wright Jr., Lisa Wright-Smith; sister, Theresa Dunn; 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; countless foster children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren.  

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Rose Wright; brothers, Charles McCoid, Ronald McCoid; sisters, Beverly Bolyard, Carol Rickett, and Tammy McCoid.  

Calling hours will be held on Thursday January 2, 2025, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday January 3, 2025, at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Zanesville with Fr. Brian Beal officiating. Burial will conclude services at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
