Ronald e Jones

Ronald Eugene Jones, 82 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on April 2, 2023, at his home, under Genesis Hospice care.

He was born on July 1, 1940, In Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late Robert Lee Jones and Beatrice Faye (Thomas) Jones. Ron was a volunteer fireman at Buckeye Lake and a car salesman for many years. He loved to travel with his family, make puzzles, and he was an avid collector. Above all, he enjoyed spending his spare time with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by his son, Ronald Jones Jr.; daughters, Donna (Duke) Vandyne, Debbie (George) Evans, JoAnn West, Kimberly (Richard) Hoover; brother, Richard Jones; sister, Pamela Jones; grandchildren, Johnathan Hoover, Jesse West, Jase Vandyne, Tyler Vandyne, Ryan Vandyne, Heath Vandyne, Hunter Vandyne, Hayden Evans, Neveah Evans; great-grandchildren, Leona Hoover; special friends, Mike Evans, Charlie Brock; special caregivers from Trinity Home Health.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Dianne (Wilson) Jones; latest wife, Patty (Isner) Jones; granddaughter, Lisa Hoover.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday April 5, 2023, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Services will be held on Wednesday April 5, 2023, at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home at 7:00 PM with Rev. Darren Tolbert officiating. A dignified cremation will take place following services. Ron will be laid to rest next to his wife at a later date.
