Rita Ann Omen

Rita Ann (Embrey) Omen, 77 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2022 at The Oaks of Northpointe in Zanesville, Ohio.

She was born on August 18, 1945, in Corning, Ohio, daughter of the late Russell Embrey and Everlyn Lucy Embrey.

She is survived by her sons, Christopher (Jean) Omen, Justin Omen; sisters, Viola (Jim) Malcolm, Evelyn (Ken) Bates, Sue (Tom) Toki; brother, Jesse (Sue) Embrey; closest granddaughter, Kayla (Tiffany) Darr; grandchildren, Haven Omen; and great-grandchildren, Carson Perone.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph William Omen Jr.; brothers, Bill (Louise) Embrey, Kenny (Dollie) Embrey; sisters, Goldie (Vance) Bolyard, Donna (Paul) Miller, and Phyllis Erwin.

Calling hours will be held on Monday September 19, 2022 from 5:00 PM- 7:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Services will be held Monday September 19, 2022 at 7:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home with Reverend Darren Tolbert officiating. A dignified cremation will take place following services.
