Richard L Goldsmith Sr.

Richard L. Goldsmith Sr., 69 of Zanesville, passed away October 2, 2020 at Genesis Healthcare.

He was born December 16, 1950 in Zanesville, son of the late, Richard E. Goldsmith and Hazel M. Ault.  He attended New Hope Full Gospel Church and was a United States Army Veteran.  Richard worked as an independent contractor for the local Post Office.

He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Janice Hogan Goldsmith; children, Richard L Goldsmith Jr., Kelli Sue (Chuck Bartlett) Goldsmith and Jay Hogan; siblings, Kenneth Goldsmith, Marlene Ronshausen, Marsha (Cy) Hiles; grandchildren, Xander Goldsmith, Bree Goldsmith, Kellsi Bartlett, Kharlie Bartlett; several other family members, friends and his adopted pets.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Kimberley Rae Van Wye.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will take place at 1:00 PM.  Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the United States Army in conjunction with the American Legion Post 29.

Self-provided face coverings are highly recommended.
