Rebecca Sue (Wilson) Chapman-Russell, 73 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on March 14, 2024, at Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville.
She was born on March 30, 1950, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late James “Soapy” Wilson and Ruth Agnes Yester. Rebecca was a graduate of Maysville High School and later attended beauty college. She was a member of the Ladies Eagles Auxiliary #302 of Zanesville. Rebecca worked at Sunrise IGA Bakery for 26 years and later retired from Big Lots as a store manager after 20 years. She loved her Cincinnati Reds and collecting jewelry. In her spare time, she enjoyed gambling and playing bingo. Above all, she loved to spend her time with her grandchildren and loved ones.
She is survived by her 2 sons: Josh Chapman, Larry (Ashley) Chapman; grandchildren, Antione Chapman, Kaden Chapman, Sean Chapman, and Rylee Chapman; brothers, George (Linda) Wilson, Ed James (Sheila) Wilson; sisters, Carol Roberts, Patricia Saxton; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her 1st husband of 20 years, Larry Chapman; 2nd husband of 15 years, Gary Russell; brother, Jack Wilson; sister, Barb Wilson; brother-in-law, Fred Saxton; and sister-in-law, Georgana Wilson.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday March 16, 2024, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Services will be held on Sunday March 17, 2024, at 10:00 AM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fultonham Cemetery.
