Rea Mae Huff, 87, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully, May 6, 2021 at her residence.
She was born July 9, 1933 in Adamsville, OH daughter of the late Willis Cole and Luella King Cole Rice.
She was a homemaker busy hauling four children to church, boy scouts, Devilettes, band practice, softball, dancing and other school activities from 1958 to 1982, after which she became a Zanesville fire/police dispatcher. She taught Sunday school at First United Methodist Church for five years, and tutored at Grover Cleveland and Eastside. She was active in PTA for many years and held offices at both school and district levels. She joined Pilot International and held local and state positions, and was KOW District Governor in 2012. Rea still continued to help Pilot. She enjoyed volunteering and supported the American Red Cross and Disabled American Veterans. She was an avid fan of Genealogy and member of the Muskingum County Chapter Ohio Genealogical Society. She enjoyed crocheting and made sure the grandkids stayed warm under their “500 pound blankets.” In her spare time she never attended a meeting that she was on time to. “Let’s Go Mom We’re Late!”
