Michael E. Poulton, 43 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on December 3, 2025, at the Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville.
He was born on September 19, 1982, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late James Poulton and Brenda (Hiett) Poulton. Michael worked at Taco Bell and Marathon Gas station for several years. He was an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeye fan. He enjoyed life and spending his time with his family and loved ones.
Michael is survived by his son, Evan Poulton; grandson, Xaidyn Roupe; 2 stepchildren: Jasmine Harding and Justina Grant; 2 sisters: Keely (Randy Hartley) Poulton and Dixie McElfresh; 2 brothers: Eddie McElfresh and William McElfresh; niece and nephew, Karrah Dunlap and Danyen Dunlap; special friends, Rocky Johnson and Bobby Orwig; and many other friends and family members.
In honor of Michael, donations can be made to DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home to help cover funeral expenses.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday December 10, 2025, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held at 7:00 pm with Rev. Darren Tolbert officiating. A dignified cremation will take place following services.
