Martin "Marty" Stewart

Martin “Marty” Stewart, 70 of Zanesville, passed away on May 30, 2025, at the Adams Lane Care Center of Zanesville.

He was born on September 11, 1954, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late Weston Stewart and Verna (Wilkins) Stewart. Marty graduated from Zanesville High School. He later worked as a dietary aid/ food service worker for Cedar Hill Nursing Home for several years. He enjoyed playing men’s softball, drinking with friends and family, and playing BINGO and Euchre.

Martin is survived by his sister, Tammy Hayes; nieces, Dawn Luckett, Chasity Wilson; 6 great nieces and nephews; 18 great-great nieces and nephews; several cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Tim Stewart; and brother-in-law, Donald Hayes.

Per Marty’s wishes, no calling hours or services will be held at this time.

A dignified cremation has been entrusted to DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Marty will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
