Margaret "Peg" Russell

Margaret “Peg” Russell, 74 of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away on December 23, 2025, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.

She was born on July 26, 1951, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late John “Jack” Schneider and Yvonne Wilkins. Peg was a graduate of Rosecrans High School in 1968 and a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. She loved going to church and working with diamond art in her spare time. Above all, she loved spending her time with her family and grandchildren.

Peg is survived by her 2 children: Gary Russell and Jeff (Amber) Russell; 2 brothers: John (Mako) Schneider and Fred Schneider; sister, Dorothy Ingram; 2 grandchildren: Cooper Russell and Jade Russell; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and special dog, Lucy.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother-in-law, David Ingram.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday January 7, 2026, at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Zanesville with Fr. Donald Abii as celebrant.
