Margaret Gard Obituary

Margaret Bernice Gard, 72 of Zanesville, passed away on Friday June 27, 2025, at her residence.

She was born on December 30, 1952, in Hopewell Township, Ohio, daughter of the late Lee Rome Gard Sr. and Jennie Elizabeth Gard Rose. Margaret worked at Economy Linen and JJ’s Restaurant for several years. She attended Christian Missionary Alliance in Zanesville.

Margaret is survived by her siblings, Hazel (Ron) Ritchie, Juanita King, Virginia Wolfe, Roger (Carol Sue) Gard Sr., and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Lee Rome Gard Jr., Thomas Gard.

Per her wishes, a dignified cremation has been entrusted to DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Private Celebration of Life Services will be held at a later date.

DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
