Lena B Deal

Lena B. Deal, 84 of Zanesville, passed away on January 6, 2022 at Cedar Hill Care Center.

She was born on September 22, 1937, in Zanesville, daughter of the late Jasper and Elizabeth Hill Butler.

She is survived by her son, Gilbert Sims; granddaughters, Cindy Hillis and Hattie Maynard; 5 great-grandchildren; nieces, Cheryl Kidwell, Shanda Moody, and Kathy Glosser.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Jane Shreve, May Brown, Elsie Young, Wilma Lake, Juanita Moody; brothers, James Butler, Cecil Butler, and Art Butler.

Calling hours will be held from 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM on Tuesday January 11, 2022 at DeLong-Baker and Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1:00 PM with Rev. Darren Tolbert officiating.  A dignified cremation will take place after services. Lena will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.

Lena would like to thank Cedar Hill Care Center’s staff for always taking great care of her and for treating her as family.
