Laura J. Peck

Laura J. Peck, 63 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2024, at the Genesis Morrison House of Zanesville.

She was born on February 8, 1961, in Zanesville, Ohio, born to the late Hugh Nelson and Lillian (Adams) Nelson, adopted by Laura J. Francis. Laura worked at Goodwill Industries. She was an avid doll collector and enjoyed genealogy. She loved having get togethers with the neighborhood kids and decorating for the holidays. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and loved ones.  

She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Edward Peck; son, Michael (Charlotte) Peck; special cousin/sister, Ellen (Harry) Ehrnfield; brother, John Courtney; sister, Barbara Tigner; grandchildren, Michael Peck II, Malakhi Peck; great granddaughter, Alicia Peck; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, David Nelson, Jerry Nelson, Glen Nelson, Robert Boucher, Jack Nelson; sister, Mary Louise Nelson; mother-in-law, Patricia Hildebrand; and special dog, Brandy Ann.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday August 31, 2024, from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held at 4:00 PM with Pastor Adam Wahl officiating. Per Laura’s wishes, a dignified cremation will take place following services.
