Karen M Buckmaster

Karen M. Buckmaster, 74 of Zanesville, passed away on October 31, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio.

She was born on August 29, 1949, daughter to the late Earl Core and Audrey Stanley. Karen worked as a bartender and a cook at College Park Mental Health Facility for many years. She enjoyed watching TV in her spare time. Above all she loved her girls and grandchildren more than anything.

She is survived by her 3 children: Bobby (Rick VanDyne) Caruso, Tina (Kenneth) Moran, Penny Buckmaster; grandchildren, Iraina Caruso, Steven Caruso, David Moran, Kaden Moran, Alyssa Moran, Audriana Moran; bonus grandchildren, Alan Jones, Gary (Destany) VanDyne, Brittany VanDyne, Malerie VanDyne; great-grandchildren, Kingston Sutton, May’C VanDyne, Journey VanDyne, Khylin Johnson; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Pete Core; sisters, Pauline Dalzel, Judy Lashley, Betty Jane Strupe; and several cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday November 4, 2023, from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Per Karen’s wishes, a dignified cremation will take place following visitations.
