Joyce A. Miller

Joyce A. Gheen-Miller, 66 of Zanesville, passed away on September 22, 2024, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.

She was born on October 1, 1957, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Harry Gheen and Clara (Samson) Gheen. Joyce worked at Zach’s, Longaberger, and Buckeye Stoneware for many years. She was a member of the Salvation Army Women’s Ministry. Joyce loved spending her time with her grandchildren and loved ones.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Joyce Miller; 4 sons: Jeff (Darlene) Dunaway, Timmy Dunaway, Fred Dunaway, Billy (Ashley) Dunaway; 12 grandchildren: Chazeyman, Steven, Ashland, Rebecca, Ambrosia, Andrea, Bella, Austin, Jeffrey, James, Rebecca; 1 great grandchild; brothers, Bill Gheen, Don Gheen, Tom Gheen, Raymond Gheen, Wayne Gheen, Eddie Gheen; Chuck Gheen; and sister, Rosie Tanner.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Thomas Dunaway; 8 siblings, Sonny Gheen, Larry Gheen, Carl Gheen, Mike Gheen, Alice Siders, Roxanne Gheen, John Thomas, and 1 other boy at birth.  

Per Joyce’s wishes, no calling hours or service will be held at this time. A dignified cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
