Obituary

Joshua Lee Head, 42 of Mt. Perry, passed away July 1, 2022, at Genesis Health Care as the result of a motorcycle accident.

He was well known around the area singing and playing the guitar at local events.  Josh was an avid hunter, fisher, farmer, and had a small horse farm.  He was a car and motorcycle enthusiast.

He was born December 28, 1979, in Zanesville, son of Jack Head and Susan Harper Head.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his daughter, Andrea Head; siblings, Paula Watts, Kathleen (Steve) Smout, Chad (Mary) Head, Jenni (Mark) Lane, Todd (Jodi) Head; grandmother Carol Denton; mother of his daughter Casey Head; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul Denton, Gene Harper, George and Dorothy Head; and nephew Jarrett Head.

Calling hours will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will take place at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 6, 2022. Family and friends are invited to join for a celebration of life meal at the American Legion Post 29, 27 South Third St. Zanesville, OH 43701.  Cremation will follow at the conclusion of the service.
