John Phillip Baker, 82 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2022 at The Morrison House of Zanesville.
He was born on November 16, 1939, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late Robert E. Baker and Evelyn Martin. John was an avid sports fan, always rooting for his Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, and THE Ohio State Buckeyes. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and bowling.
He is survived by his granddaughter, Morgan Ashleigh Longstreth; half-brother, Jim (Sharon) Bromley; nephews, Mark (Julie) Baker, Jay (Traci) Baker, Deron (Katie) Baker; uncle, Jerry Baker; sister-in-law, Becky Baker and family; several great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Lori Longstreth; son, Brady Baker; brothers, Raymond “Gene” Baker, Glen Baker; sister-in-law, Ruth Baker.
No calling hours or services will be held at this time. A private graveside memorial service will be held officiated by Mike Danison at a later date. John will be laid to rest at Duncan Falls Cemetery.
