Jesse Albert Embrey, 85 of Zanesville, went to be with his Lord and savior on December 3, 2023.
He was born on January 30, 1938, in Sayre, Ohio, son of the late Russell Embrey and Evelyn Lucy (Plant) Embrey. Jesse was a member of the First Assembly of God in Zanesville. He worked at United Tech and Leer for over 39 years before retiring. In his spare time, he loved hunting, fishing, and gardening.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Marilyn Sue (Paskell) Embrey; daughters, Dana (Peter) Godfrey, Jan Hicks; sisters, Viola “Sis” Malcolm, Evelyn (Kenneth) Bates, Sue (Tom) Toki; grandchildren, Jodi (Justin Wren) Thomas, Jereme (Carla) Bowden, Jordan (Lauren) Simon; great-grandchildren, Lucy Wren, Rachel Bowden, Tyler Bowden; brothers-in-law, Danny Paskell, Troy Paskell; sisters-in-law, Kathy Patton
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Bill Embrey, Kenneth Embrey; sisters, Goldie Bolyard, Donna Miller, Phyllis Erwin, and Rita Omen.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday December 7, 2023, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jeffrey Fountain officiating. Burial will follow services at Iliff Cemetery in Crooksville, Ohio.
