Jerry Bruce Combs

Jerry Bruce Combs, 75, of Zanesville, passed away August 29, 2018 at Genesis Morrison House surrounded by his family.

He was born December 12, 1942 in Rosedale, OH, son of the late, Crit Combs and Elsie Williams Combs-Mills.  He was a Vietnam Army Veteran and Service Officer in Columbus, OH.  He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and American Legion Post 29.  He was president and member of Vietnam Veterans Chapter 42 of Zanesville.   Jerry also worked for Goodyear, Day Lay Egg Farm in Raymond, OH and was a security guard in Zanesville, OH.

He is survived by his wife, Betsy Milligan Combs whom he married November 14, 1981; son, Jerry Combs; daughter, Pam (Lou) Francks of Florida; brother, Chris (Sue) Combs; sister, Darlene Owens; grandson, 1st Lieutenant Shawn (Beth) Frazzini of Hawaii; granddaughter, Kari (Matthew) Stambaugh, Nikki (Nathan) Briggs; PTSD Cats, Lucy and Smokey;  several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lonis and Courtney Williams; brothers, Gary Lee Combs, Jackie Combs; sisters, Joyce M. Riley and Glenda Caliski.

Calling hours will be held 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 1, 2018 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will take place at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park with full Military honors conducted by the United States Army in conjunction with the VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and American Legion Post 29.
