Jennifer Lynn VanNess

Jennifer Lynn VanNess, 53 of Zanesville, suddenly passed away on February 8, 2026, at the Genesis Hospital in Zanesville surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on December 29, 1972, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Charles Leroy Baughman and Sandra Kay Kackley. Jenny worked at South 60 Drive Thru for over 30 years. She was known to be a great cook, loved hunting and mushroom hunting. Above all, Jenny loved spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandson, Lucas, whom she was inseparable from.

Jenny is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Michael VanNess; son, David (Jeanette) VanNess; grandson, Lucas VanNess; sisters, Michaela (Bob) Baughman, Penny (Mike) Murasky, Sonia Baughman; nieces, Jasmine McFarland, Justine Murasky, and Sara Fleming; nephew, Jon Murasky; several great nieces and nephews, aunt, uncle, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Leroy Baughman and Sandra Kay Kackley; and grandmother, Dorothy L. Kackley.

Per Jenny’s wishes, a dignified cremation has been entrusted to DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home.
