Jeffrey L. (Sr.) Sims

Jeffrey L. Sims, 65, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on February 5, 2024, at his residence.

He was born on January 8, 1959, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late Robert Lewis Sims and Elva Marie (Weaver) Sims. Jeff worked at Ross BP as a Mechanic for over 35 years. He was a loving father, grandfather, husband, and brother. He loved playing guitar, shootin’ pool, and a good poker game. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on and restoring old Mopars. Above all, he loved spending his time with his family.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 45 ½ years, Robin (Crumbaker) Sims; children, Jackie Twyman (Mike), Jeffrey (Tia) Sims Jr.; grandchildren, Linzee, Hunter (Blake), Laila (Aaron), Gage, Abigail, Avarie, Delanie; great-grandson, Hoyt; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Rita, Beverly, Rebecca, Peggy, Patty; brothers, Bob and Kenny; special friend, John Coffey; father-in-law, Robert L. Crumbaker; sister-in-law, Vicki Hunt (Tom); and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Bob, Bill (Fairy), Stephen; brother-in-law, Rob Norris, Je Demarzo; mother-in-law, Nancy Lou Crumbaker; 4 nephews, Little Billy, Eric, Matthew, and Stevie Sims.

Per Jeff’s wishes, no calling hours or services will be held at this time. A caring cremation will be held by DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home.
