James Smith Sr. Obituary

James R. Smith Sr., 85 of Zanesville, passed away May 26, 2020.

He was born February 24, 1935 in Zanesville, OH, son of the late, James Smith and Marie Mitchell. He was a Korean War Marine Veteran and owned & operated Smith Roofing in Zanesville.

He is survived by his children, James Smith Jr., Scott Smith, Tammy Smith, Susan Launder, Cindy Smith; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by the mother of his children Mildred L. Smith; son Timothy Smith; siblings, Kenneth Smith, Robert Smith, Jerold Smith, Sharon Smith, Marjorie Jenkins, Imogene Middleton.

Private services were held.

DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
