James Dover Obituary

James “Jim” A. Dover, 82 of Chandlersville, Ohio, passed away on May 11, 2025, at the Genesis Morrison House of Zanesville.

He was born on January 23, 1943, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late William Bernard Dover and Anna Mary O’Neil.

Jim is survived by his 3 children: Fawn Hofer, James Dover, Andrew (Erica Durst) Dover; sisters, Beth and Martha; grandchildren, Krysta (Joe) Bates, Brittany Hofer, Amber Hofer, Noelle (Joe Morrison) Hofer; Anson Dover, Porter Dover, Collins Dover, Rory Dover; great grandchildren, Cameron, Danison, Parker, Ava, Ellie, Aiden, and Jake.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sue (Danison) Dover; 3 sisters: Judy, Jackie, and Julie.

Per Jim’s wishes, no calling hours or services will be held at this time. A dignified cremation has been entrusted to DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home.
