Hugh “Gerald” Clossman, 86 of Zanesville, went to be with the Lord on December 29, 2023, passing at his residence.
He was born on April 29, 1937, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late Harry G. Clossman and Emma Lehman. Hugh was a member of the Cornerstone Church. He worked as a foreman at Shelly & Sands and as a taxidermist and gunsmith for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia (Paxson) Clossman; sister, Betty Williams; 6 children, Jeff (Cindy) Clossman, Randy Clossman, Greg (Julie) Clossman, Cindy (Mike) Kirkbride, Lori (Scott) Stalnaker, Kelly (Rodney) Derreberry; lots of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; stepchildren, Diane (Mark) Burrier, Theresa (Jeff) Houston, Jay (Cathy) Huggins, Jeff Huggins; brother and sister in law, Ron and Ruth Allen; and special friends, Kevin and Vickie Franklin.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Larry Clossman; and sister, Pat Sindledecker.
Per Gerald’s wishes, no calling hours or services will be held. At this time, a dignified cremation will take place.
