Gloria Marie Runkle

Gloria “Sis” Marie (Seevers) Runkle, 70 of Zanesville, passed away on March 15, 2022 at Genesis Hospital.

She was born on November 22, 1951, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Carl Lloyd Seevers and Hazel Wyatt Seevers. Gloria worked at Lear United Tech and later worked as a Manager at Dozer’s Café; although her biggest job and blessing was raising her 4 boys.

She is survived by her sons, Bill (Denise) Runkle, Steve (Juni) Runkle, John Runkle Sr., Justin (Jennifer) Runkle; step-daughters, Cindy Cohen, Jaime Prica; brothers, Mike Seevers, Carl (Sharon) Seevers, William (Soni) Seevers, Donald (Mickey) Seevers, Larry Seevers; sisters, Dorothy (John) Wallace, Margaret Layton; sister-in-laws, Linda Seevers, Ruth Seevers; 21 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by the father of her children, John D. Runkle; fiancé, James Tweedy; brothers, John Seevers, Roger Seevers, and Robert “Bob” Seevers.

Per Gloria’s wishes, no services or calling hours will be held at this time. A dignified cremation will take place. A Memorial Service in honor of Gloria will be held on Sunday March 20, 2022 from 12:00 PM- 4:00 PM at the American Legion in Zanesville, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions/donations can be made to Genesis Hospice and/or The American Heart Association in honor of Gloria.
