Gladys Irene Fisher

Gladys I. Fisher, 84 of Zanesville, went to be with the Lord on October 17, 2022 at Cedar Hill Care Center of Zanesville, Ohio.

She was born on December 23, 1937, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Frank Elson and Lottie Shiplett-Elson. Gladys was a member of the Cornerstone Full Gospel Church of Duncan Falls and retired from Brockway Glass after over 20 years. She loved to go bowling, playing cards, going on Church trips with the Forerunners, her Senior Citizen trips, and her trips to Amish Country with her sisters.  

She is survived by her sons, Jeff (Brenda) Fisher, Chuck Fisher; sisters, Ruthie Pyle, Linda Vandyne; grandchildren, Stacia Wheeler, Staci (Jim) Cavezza, Traci (Brad), Jennifer (Ryan) Porter, Jessica (Brandon) Prouty, Dana Todd, Charli Fisher, Brady Fisher; and 16 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Charles Fisher; brothers, Billy Elson, Chuck Elson, Harold Elson, Bobby Elson; sisters, Helen, Mary, Virginia, Betty, Evelyn.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday October 22, 2022, from 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Services will be held on Saturday October 22, 2022, at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home at 1:00 PM with Pastor Steve Harrop officiating. Burial will follow services at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.

The Fisher family would like to thank Cedar Hill Care Center and Shriver’s Hospice for their care; and a special thanks to Sue Sweeney for her extended care.
