Ginger Lou Wahl, 54, of Zanesville, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021 while at her residence. She was born October 2, 1967 in Zanesville Ohio, to Robert Wahl and Virginia Hempleman. She was in long lasting relationship with her best friend and companion, Robert Trout.
She went to school at Crooksville High School where she displayed her first love for animals. She was in 4H as a child where she showed chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs and won reserve grand champion at the Lancaster Fair with her prize goat.
She loved concerts, gambling and bingo… but her biggest and greatest love were her wiener dogs.
Ginger was a wonderful friend, loving mother, the fun big sister and a lovely daughter with a HUGE heart. She would give everything to help anyone in need and when she loved, she loved big and generously. Many of her friends were not just friends, but extended family which she cared for deeply and her heart overflowed with pride to be called aunt, sister and best friend.
She is survived by her son, James (Jimmy) Welch of Ohio; Best friend and companion, Robert Trout of Ohio; Parents, Virginia and Gary Hempleman of Texas; Father, Robert Wahl of Ohio; sisters, Angela Hempleman and Holly DeSimone (husband, Darren) of Texas; and all her much-loved fur babies - Dew Drop, Winslow, Archie and Jakey.
Ginger said you can never have enough family… even the furry kind with tiny paws. Donations in her memory are welcome at the Dachshund Rescue of Ohio. http://www.dachshundrescueofohio.com/
