Georgene Glass

Georgene Glass, 76 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on October 9, 2025, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.

She was born on September 2, 1949, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late James Devoll and Myrtle (Mumaw) Devoll. Georgene worked at Genesis Hospital in Housekeeping for several years. She enjoyed being outdoors, arts and crafts, and her jewelry. Above all, she loved taking care of her family and spending time with her loved ones.

Georgene is survived by her 3 daughters: Holly Hinkle, Linda (Larry) Dalton, Rachel McDaniel; very special sister, Beverly McCormick; 9 grandchildren: Brandon (Victoria), Ashley, Laken, Aaron, Linsey, Abigail, McKinley, Kenny Jr., Nymia; 11 great-grandchildren: Kinsey, Kenny III, Rylei, Ryker, Barrette, Aubrey, Aaron Jr., Ayden, Wyatt, Mason, Blake; special friend, Debbie Wisecarver; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 11 siblings.

Per Georgene’s wishes, a dignified cremation has been entrusted to DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home following services. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
