George C Morrison

George C. Morrison, 79, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully at his residence on June 22, 2021.

He was born on April 11, 1942, in Zanesville, son of the late Robert Francis Morrison and Virginia Mae Dover.

George retired from Allied Machine Works after over 30 plus years of service where he was well known as an extremely hard worker. He enjoyed going bowling, golfing, dancing with his wife, watching his Ohio State Buckeyes.

He is survived by his wife of over 42 years, Martha Morrison; sons, George “Nalani” Morrison Jr., Paul Thomas Morrison, Christopher “Alicia” Morrison; daughters, Tammy “Jim” Scott, Traci “Rob” Bugglin, Trish “Dave” Johnson; step-sons, David Amende, Douglas Amende, and Ricky Amende; step- daughters, Crystal “Dan” Wyatt, Diana “John” Shore, Linda Amende, and Karen “Matt” Myers; brothers, Jack Morrison, Bob “Judy” Morrison; 25 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his brothers, Steve Morrison, Dale Morrison, Tom Morrison and infant brother; sisters, Joann Morrison and Shirley Shrader; grandson, Joshua Shafer; and great-grandson, David Shafer.  

Calling hours will be held on Saturday June 26, 2021 from 2:00 PM- 4:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home 56 South 5th Street, Zanesville, Ohio 43701, where services beginning at 4:00 PM.

The Morrison Family will be having a family gathering following services at 2740 South Lawndale Place Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
