George Asher Kerr Jr.

George Asher Kerr Jr., 86 of Zanesville, passed away on October 8, 2021 at Genesis Morrison House of Zanesville.

He was born on May 16, 1935, in Frazeysburg, son of the late George Asher Kerr Sr. and Emily Jane Minnich. George served in the Army and later worked as a plumber and pipe fitter. He was also a member of the Ohio State Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union - Local 95 of Cambridge. In his spare time he liked to garden and hunt.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Daisy Spinks Kerr; sons, Anthony (Dreama) Kerr, David (Rita) Kerr; daughter, Jodi (Rick) Strauss; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Kerr, Joseph Kerr; sisters, Mary Ann Archibald, Dora Mae Middlemus, and Ruth Slaughter.

Calling hours will be held on Monday October 11, 2021 from 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1:00 PM with Frank McAtee officiating. Burial will follow services at New Hope Cemetery.
